This is The People's Countryside Environmental Debate podcast. Listeners send us questions we haven't seen before. Instead of consulting experts, we simply apply curiosity, questionable confidence, and the reckless belief that difficult conversations are worth having.

Saoirse, from Drogheda, Republic of Ireland asks - "Who’d want to be a police man or woman? One minute they are accused of being pro-white and anti black etc. With recent events they are now accused in the UK of being anti white. When the police turn up at a scene, they do so as human beings, who should be trying to be balanced in how they interpret and act. Yet how can they be, with societal debates and arguments raging in their head. So their thinking lurches from one perspective to another, instead of altering to a more balanced view of a specific situation. Even with this balance though, the police will still get it horribly wrong, and this can’t always be avoided. It can be learned from though. Of course institutional bias exists too, but how do we hope to send our police out on the streets with a balanced mindset, if we as a society are so divided. It's not all down to social media speeding up division, but it has a big part. Maybe the police on the street need to be AI robots programmed to inhabit the perfect equilibrium. Life isn’t like that though, there needs to be room for interpretation and mistakes. We’re fast disappearing up our own arseholes! All this needs talking about by us all, but equally, no absolute conclusion can hope to be drawn, unless you're one of those narcissists out there that I keep meeting”.

William praises the police. Stuart suggests balance isn't always fair. Together they commit the modern crime of considering other viewpoints.

A dangerous episode in which the hosts suggest listening to people before deciding they're wrong.

Jess, in Bishop’s Tatchbrook, Warwickshire, England then places this question - “Not asked a question for a long time, but here I am again! Stuart I know you’ve got an autoimmune condition, but I’ve heard of a treatment being tested on Lupus patients, that may be an answer. Getting the T cells to fight the B cells, so the body resets. 6 out of 7 patients it's been tested on are in remission. No idea how long it will last or side effects though. Any thoughts?”

Stuart explains how modern medicine reboots your immune system, then demonstrates his own approach to wellbeing with whiskey at breakfast.
