Howdy, neighbors! Fred Talley here from Faith Pest Control. You know, there’s nothing quite like a Saturday morning in Georgia. If you’re looking to get out and enjoy the best of what our local area has to offer, you’ve got to head over to the Monticello Market on the Square.
It’s just a short drive over to the heart of Jasper County, and let me tell you, it’s the perfect way to kick off a summer weekend.
Starting May 9th and running every Saturday through August 29th, 2026 (except for the 4th of July), the Square comes alive from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
If you appreciate hard work and homegrown quality—the same way I do in my business—you’re going to love this market. Here’s what you’ll find:

Handmade Treasures: Local artisans bring out everything from handcrafted jewelry to woodworking. It’s the perfect place to find a gift that didn’t come off a big-box store shelf.
Homemade Goodies: You haven’t lived until you’ve tried some of the local jams, jellies, and old-fashioned pies.
Community Spirit: It’s a place where neighbors actually talk to each other. You might even see me there grabbing a basket of peaches!
Now, I love a good farmers’ market as much as anyone, but here’s a tip from your local bug man: all that fresh produce and sweet fruit can be a magnet for some “uninvited guests.” When the humidity kicks up in June and July, Fruit Flies, Ants, and Pantry Beetles are on the lookout for a free meal.
Nothing ruins a beautiful kitchen display of fresh peaches like a swarm of tiny flies or a line of ants deciding they live there now.
Listen… I want to be YOUR BUG MAN!
Whether it’s those pesky kitchen invaders or the bigger threats like Termites and Spiders hiding in the corners of your home, I’ve got you covered. I use common-sense, pet-friendly methods because I know your home is your sanctuary (and your dogs shouldn’t have to worry about the bug man!).
I don’t just talk a big game; I back it up. If you’re tired of seeing things crawl where they shouldn&
