How Would the Mets OPERATE Under a Salary Cap? | MLB Proposing a 154-Game Season, New Playoffs

MLB proposes a bold 154-game season and an overhauled playoff format—but it all hinges on a salary cap showdown.

Can the New York Mets navigate this uncertain landscape and keep their big-market edge, or will new league rules force Steve Cohen’s club into a spending squeeze?

Ryan Finkelstein examines how the Mets’ current payroll, stars like Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor, and looming free agent targets could be affected by potential CBA changes.

Topics include the Mets’ long-term financial flexibility, the impact of guaranteed off days, and strategies for landing aces like Tarik Skubal or Michael King before a possible lockout.

What does the future hold for New York’s offseason moves if stricter spending penalties—or a salary cap—become reality?

Don’t miss this must-listen breakdown of the salary cap crisis and its seismic implications for Mets fans.
