POSTCAST: Mets Rally But FALL In Extras For FOURTH Straight Defeat

The bats woke up late to tie the game and force extras, but the New York Mets fell in 10 innings to the Giants, 4-3. Another game, another struggle for the offense. The Mets bats did not have much of an answer for Robbie Ray tonight. Pete Alonso finally got New York on the board with a homer in the 7th and then the Fab 4 were able to spark a rally in the 8th to tie the game and force things into extras. 

Edwin Diaz gave up a run in the top half and the Mets were unable to score with the bases loaded to tie or even win the game.

David Peterson did what David Peterson does, give the Mets length and limit the damage. He allowed just two runs over six innings of work. 

The Mets will try and snap this losing streak tomorrow with Kodai Senga on the bump.
