RECLAIM: Orlando Magic Need Defense to THRIVE | Team's PRIORITIES won't change

The Orlando Magic are expecting a lot of changes with Sean Sweeney now in the coach's chair. But the one thing that will not change is the demand and necessity that this be an elite defensive team.

That is the biggest thing the Magic lost in their frustrating 2026 season. And that is what they must regain to power their offense and climb the standings.

That is something the Summer League team has realized quickly. They recorded their first win thanks to a stellar defensive effort in the second half and three key blocks in the final 30 seconds to preserve the win.

The Magic are already establishing the defensive energy they want for the main roster in the fall.

Summer League continues to go on with the Magic seeing some promising play from Osceola Magic standouts that could have them reconsidering their two-way contracts before the fall.
