Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

October Spooky Season has arrived once again on Nostalgia, Plus Ultra, and we’re going back into the world of one of anime’s most iconic vampire hunters.

Last October, we watched the original Vampire Hunter D. This year, The Homies are continuing the tradition with its acclaimed sequel, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.

In this episode, we discuss the movie's stunning animation, dark fantasy atmosphere, memorable characters, vampire mythology, and how the sequel compares to the original film. Is Bloodlust a worthy follow-up? How does it hold up as a spooky season watch? And does it live up to the nostalgia surrounding one of anime’s most beloved vampire stories?
