He is all about being different, setting trends and earning the title of many firsts. From the look of his equipment, to the way he plays music. Later on, he developed the tag line, “The Musical Prodigy”. Musical, meaning of or relating to music and Prodigy, meaning a young person with extraordinary skills, talent or ability. Odyssey is simply defined as a long journey full of adventures. For every event Odyssey plays for, he tries his very best to deliver that message and indeed take people on a long journey full of adventures…a long journey full of musical adventures. Odyssey was born on December 31st, 1993 in Belize City, Belize, located in Central America, which is bordered on the north by Mexico, to the south and west by Guatemala, and to the east, by the Caribbean Sea. Among other well-known disc jockeys and sound systems in Belize, Odyssey is one of the youngest and highly skilled disc jockeys that has built his name and earned the respect of several top foundation disc jockeys both locally and internationally. Odyssey was one of the resident DJ for the popular club in Belize, Sit And Sip Lounge which caters to various class of people with various taste in music. Odyssey is also a Member DJ of well known media marketing platform, Riddimstream®. As young and ambitious as he is in the business, Odyssey’s skills took him to Las Vegas, Nevada for the first time where he played for a mixed crowd of Jamaicans, Nigerians, Ethiopians and also his own people, Belizeans, all under one roof! He travelled to Las Vegas two times more after that by special request because of his outstanding performance the first time. Odyssey also played as a back up disc jockey for the Byron Lee & the Dragonaires’ very own, Oscar B of on his trip to Belize to perform as a featured guest artist for one of the biggest concerts in Belize to date, Machel Montano And Also Mr. Vagabond Himself Ricardo Drue on his visit to Belize to perform in San Pedro Ambergris Caye. Furthermore, in an effort to extend people’s knowledge about DJ Odyssey, he frequently release mixtape volumes under the name line "Shell Down" of various genres and styles. Featured and sponsored by famous music source, riddimstream.com, his first release was the “Music is Life Vol. 1” that entailed genres of R&B and Hip Hop, which is a favorite of many up to this day. Odyssey was a former member of two of Belize’s leading sound crews, No Fear Deejays And Tagg International. He decided to branch out on his own and continue on his musical journey. Along with being humble, understanding, real and although music is his life and passion, Odyssey aspires to become a pilot. It is his long-term career goal and he won’t stop until he reaches that goal. Nevertheless, through continuous support from his fans, Odyssey promises to deliver a musical experience like no other.
