On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran's going over his biggest Buffalo Bills Week 11 takeaways following Buffalo's takedown over previously unbeaten Kansas City to go into their bye with a 9-2 record for the first time in 32 years.
It was an entertaining back and forth game that came down to a few plays, as is always the case when these teams collide. Patrick devotes time to giving Bills head coach Sean McDermott a lot of credit. The Bills were supposed to be a team in transition this season following the exodus of many core players. That coupled with the injuries they've dealt with already makes their 9-2 start all the more remarkable. Plenty of that comes from McDermott's system and having this team ready to play nearly every week. Sean's decision to go for it on a critical fourth down play late in the game may have felt obvious given the circumstance but it's not a choice Sean might've made in the past. He's grown along with a lot of the players on this team.
Of course, players make the plays and none are doing it better than Josh Allen this season. Patrick has commentary on why Sunday showed him Josh is the league's MVP through 11 weeks. He also talks about Amari Cooper coming up huge, every team in the league needing a Khalil Shakir, O'Cyrus Torrence being an unsung hero for his work against Chris Jones, Ed Oliver being a menace, Terrell Bernard making big plays, depth yet again shining for Buffalo and much more. What a great way to go into the bye week, Buffalo!
