Gerard Manley Hopkins' "Binsey Poplars"

Today’s poem owes a strong debt to Cowper’s “The Poplar Field” but also features a few stylistic echoes of Poe’s “Annabel Lee,” all while achieving a (superior?) effect of its own. Happy reading.
