Interview with Lauren Hubele: An Aquarian Innovator, Gemmotherapist and Founder of the Gemmo Forest

Lauren Hubele is a gemmotherapist and has started the first and only Gemmo Forest in the US on 12.5 acres of land in Keene, NH. What began as an intended hands-on classroom to teach Gemmotherapy has grown into something larger—a plant and tree nursery, educational outreach programs, and a grassroots initiative encouraging neighborhoods to replace their lawns with herb and vegetable gardens. It involves growing plants, trees, and shrubs for not only their medicinal benefits but also for the vitality and well-being of all who interact with it.

She has written a book, “The Art and Science of Gemmotherapy,” which will be published this summer 2025.

The Gemmo Forest first annual Guild Fest, will be held Saturday 31 May 1:30-4pm, Keene NH. This event will showcase the Gemmo Forest guilds we have planted the past two years, their design and care as well as the additional permaculture practices in place on the land. The event will include guided tours and workshops on creating a feathered edge transition on agricultural land, transitioning land with herbaceous cover to a garden bed, the role of bulbs and support plants in permaculture guilds, and all about Gemmos- how to make the extracts and how they work
