PHILLIES POSTCAST: Phillies complete RECORD SETTING sweep of the Mariners with 11-2 win

The Philadelphia Phillies SWEEP the Seattle Mariners OUT of South Philly with a 11-2 Win Wednesday afternoon!

Jesus Luzardo started for the Phillies and tossed six innings of one-run baseball allowing just one run on three hits with 12 strikeouts.

Luzardo's 12 K's combined with Cristopher Sanchez' 12 in game two and Ranger Suarez' 10 in game one, the Phillies' starting pitching totaled a franchise record 34 strike outs in a three-game series.

Phillies scored their runs on a sack fly RBI by Kyle Schwarber in the first inning, an RBI double by Bryson Stott in the second ending and a solo home run by Max Kepler to lead off the 4th inning. Then the Phillies really BLEW it open with a five-run 7th inning and a three-run 8th. Kyle Schwarber capped off the offense with a two-run homer in the 8th, his 45th homer of the season.

Trea Turner came up with a 5-for-6 night.
