Daily Mitzvah (Rambam)

Daily Mitzvah (Rambam)

Chabad.org: Berel Bell

The Mishneh Torah was the Rambam's (Rabbi Moses ben Maimon) magnum opus, a work spanning hundreds of chapters and describing all of the laws mentioned in the Torah. To this day it is the only work that details all of Jewish observance, including those laws which are only applicable when the Holy Temple is in place. Participating in one of the annual study cycles of these laws (3 chapters/day, 1 chapter/day, or Sefer Hamitzvot) is a way we can play a small but essential part in rebuilding the final Temple.

Orthodox Conundrum
Orthodox Conundrum
The Orthodox Conundrum is a forum in which we look honestly at the Orthodox Jewish community, identifying what works well and what does not, so that, through an honest accounting, we can find solutions that will be successful. We will examine some of the major issues that affect the Orthodox world, without exaggeration, whitewashing, or pretending that they don’t exist. Our hope is that the Orthodox Conundrum will spark wider discussion that will enable Orthodox Judaism to continue moving forward in the areas at which it excels, and to rectify the areas that need improvement.

The Mitzvah Podcast - With Rabbi Yaakov Wolbe
The Mitzvah Podcast - With Rabbi Yaakov Wolbe
The Torah contains 613 Mitzvos, Commandments. Many of the Mitzvos are quite familiar to us, such as loving our fellow as ourselves and eating matzah on Passover, but many are more obscure and unfamiliar. The Mitzvah Podcast is a project to offer a snapshot of each mitzvah, in the order in which they appear in the Torah. Each episode will be dedicated to a single Mitzvah or a bunch of Mitzvos if they are closely related and offer an overview of said Mitzvah, together with anecdotes and vignettes and interesting questions that arise in the Talmud and other books of Jewish Literature.
