AMA: When the Church Goes AWOL- Week 1 / Pastor Jeff Struecker

Big Idea: We’re different by design—God has one mission for every one of His children.

I. Jesus sent ALL- not some.

Luke 10:1-3

After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others, and he sent them ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest. Now go; I’m sending you out like lambs among wolves.

II. We all have a gift and/or gifts.

Ephesians 4:12

…to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ…

III. God equipped each of us for the work.

1 Corinthians 12:4-7

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different ministries, but the same Lord. And there are different activities, but the same God works all of them in each person. A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good.

Next Steps:

• Believe: I surrender my soul to Jesus today.
• Become: I surrender my life to God’s mission again today.
• Be Sent: I will serve like Jesus this week.
