Episode #1282: Don't Take It Seriously

Our August Chagigot continue with an hour that doesn't take itself too seriously! "Chagigat Shirei Shtuyot" is a celebration of the dumb, wacky, funny, irreverent, and downright silly side of Israeli music, and it turns out there's no shortage of material. Expect songs that will make you laugh, maybe cringe, and sing along despite yourself, with utterly ridiculous lyrics that somehow became classics. Who said Israelis don't have a sense of humor? From Eurovision favorites to Kaveret absurdities, and everything in between, all of them prove that Israeli music can be just as goofy as it is heartfelt. Turn it up and get ready to laugh while singing along!
