Meet Ben Drummond, an atmospheric air quality scientist by day, and chair of the Met Office’s biodiversity working group by night (or just, around his working hours). He's part of a team striving to ensure the Met Office site near Exeter itself is an eco-conscious space that also provides varied habitats for wildlife.
In late 2025, we spent the day speaking with meteorologists and experts about what this iconic institution does as a powerhouse of weather data analysis and science communication, and also to explore how climate change is impacting the weather we experience every day.
