Mason McTavish met with the media for the first time since being acquired by the St. Louis Blues and opened up about the trade, his fresh start in St. Louis, and the role Trevor Zegras played throughout the process.

McTavish revealed that he leaned on Zegras for advice after both players experienced contract uncertainty and trades this offseason.

“He’s one of my best buddies and we both went through similar things with the contract stuff and getting traded. I picked his brain a little bit, he’s been a big help.”
