Partners in the Gospel

Paul’s words remind us that the Christian life is both shared and growing. The gospel brings us into relationship with Christ, and it joins us to one another in a shared purpose. We have the opportunity to take part in what God is doing, not only through our own assignment, but by partnering in the assignments He has entrusted to others.

Wherever we are in that journey, there is still room to grow. Paul’s prayer for the Philippians can become our own prayer: Lord, increase my capacity to love. Teach me to love according to Your truth. Give me discernment to choose what is excellent. God is preparing us and is shaping our lives so that He receives glory and praise now and at His glorious appearing.

Perhaps God has shown you a place where your love has grown cold, or where it has been flowing without banks. Today is an opportunity to bring that area back under the authority of the King and ask Him to make your love abound more and more.
