Thato “DJ Fresh” Sikwane is a dynamic and multi-talented force in the South African entertainment industry, with over 30 years of influence across radio, television, music, and digital media. Born in Botswana, his love for music started at age 13, when he began DJing at boarding school socials. By 1992, he was hosting his first radio show on Botswana’s RB2. In 1994, he left law school to fully pursue his passion for media and journalism.  Fresh made his breakthrough in South Africa in 1997 on YFM, eventually becoming a leading voice on South Africa’s biggest radio stations for over 22 years. Known for his deep baritone voice, authenticity, and ability to connect with audiences, DJ Fresh is a household name, a social media personality, and a sought-after live performer.  Today, he continues to redefine audio entertainment through his fast-growing podcast WAW! What a Week — a witty and insightful take on weekly current affairs and culture, with Fresh’s signature humour and boldness at the centre.
