Jupiter and Saturn prepare to stay up all night in the East. The Moon points to Mercury in the dawn on the 7th and 8th. Starts at 6:42.Planetary Music Part 1. The modern Solar System did not start with Copernicus but with Johannes Kepler, the 16th-17th century mathematician/astronomer who, among other things, discovered the Laws of Planetary Motion, AND believed that the planets moved harmoniously by God's design. This caused them to make a heavenly music we couldn't hear, but in modern times people have created that music for us to listen to. Dr. Frederic Hessman of Germany has made recordings of the planets in their elliptical and eccentric orbits, useful also as educational devices for the visually impaired, and with instructions for others to create their own musical notes and chords. All this in preparation for Part 2 in the next podcast, the first ever Keplerian music of Exoplanetary systems!! Starts at 10:52.Episode ends 34:11.
