How Chuck Brown went from working in IT to writing award-winning comics, Bitter Root, and Supernatural's Dean Winchester

Eisner and Ringo Award-winning comic writer Chuck Brown joins The Short Box to talk about his career, Bitter Root, and taking Dean Winchester on a brand-new hunt in Dynamite Entertainment’s Supernatural: Dean Winchester.

Chuck breaks down how a seemingly throwaway line from the very first episode of Supernatural inspired his new comic, what it takes to write a character with 15 seasons of history, and his early beginnings in South Carolina, his years of self-publishing and working in IT before making the leap to comics full-time, the origins and continued success of Bitter Root, his creative partnership with Sanford Greene, and the writing philosophy that has carried him through his career.
