What if the Hornets make a major leap this season? If they do, it'll be because a few players got into the awards conversation. On today's show, we stole an idea from Locked On Raptors and decided to hold our own longshot awards draft for the Charlotte Hornets. We go back and forth selecting the players and awards we think have a chance, no matter how slim.

The draft kicks off with a debate over which Hornet has the best chance to win Most Improved Player. One host makes the case for a player who might be forgotten after an injury-shortened season, while the other counters with a former All-Star not even listed on the betting odds, arguing a change in reputation could sway voters. The conversation continues with selections for Sixth Man of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and even a surprising pick for NBA Cup MVP.

Then, we wrap things up with another edition of "Who Wore It Best," tackling the number six jersey. While seven players have worn it, we agree there's only one right answer: Eddie Jones. We look back at his incredible, and possibly most underrated, single season in Hornets history where he was an All-Star, All-NBA, and All-Defense selection.
