But the true creative misstep came in the main event, where Sami Zayn shocked the world by pinning Cody Rhodes in a triple threat match that also featured Gunther. While management clearly wanted a sentimental, fairy-tale pop for the crowd, hot-shotting the Undisputed WWE Championship onto an underdog figure like Zayn completely deflates the high-stakes gravity built up by Rhodes and Gunther.
