What are the things in your life that matter too much to continually leave to chance?
That's really what rituals are about.
I've always been an intentional person. I love helping people recognize what lights them up, what they're gifted at, and what God may be calling them toward—and then figuring out how to actually make space for those things.
Over the years, I've realized that one of the ways I do this in my own life is through rituals.
These aren't complicated. And they certainly aren't a formula I'm handing you and saying, Do exactly what I do.
Instead, I want you to listen to mine and zoom out.
What would your rituals look like?
My Daily Rituals: What Keeps Me Grounded?
My daily rituals are small, but they're the things I return to most frequently:
That 15-minute conversation with my husband has been especially impactful. Instead of only talking logistics—who's going where, what's for supper, what needs to get done—we ask each other questions like:
What made you happy today? What made you frustrated today?
It helps us connect at the heart level instead of only the logistics level.
Ask yourself: What do I need to touch every day to feel grounded and connected?
My Weekly Rituals: What Helps Me Reset?
My weekly rituals include:
These rituals keep things from piling up physically, mentally, relationally, and practically.
And remember—not every ritual needs to be productive.
Bath night isn't about accomplishing something. Prayer isn't about checking something off.
Some rituals simply help us become still, grounded, peaceful, and connected to what matters.
Ask yourself: What would make my week feel more peaceful and connected if I knew it happened every single week?
My Monthly Rituals: Where Do I Need to Zoom Out?
Monthly rituals allow me to pull my eyes away from what's immediately in front of me and look at the bigger picture.
Mine include:
During our Honey Huddle, we're looking at expectations, calendars, budgets, priorities, and even dreams for the month ahead.
We also look at our Home Tour Checklist and choose something we can tackle that month.
These aren't things that require my attention every day—but they benefit enormously from getting intentional attention once a month.
Ask yourself: What area of my life doesn't need daily attention but could change significantly if I gave it focused attention once a month?
My Yearly Rituals: What Do I Want to Make Sure Happens in This Life?
This is where rituals become less about managing life and more about creating the life you actually want to remember.
My yearly rituals include:
I don't want to get so caught up in the everydayness of life that we continually say, We'll do that so
