UNCERTAINTY: Anthony Black doesn't get his extension, Orlando Magic figuring out their future

The Orlando Magic know this season is a crossroads season as they bump up against the aprons and have to determine how to move forward and improve.

Those considerations likely led them to bypass extension negotiations and send Anthony Black's future to the summer and restricted free agency. Orlando is simply too expensive to commit much to their long-term future.

They also do not quite yet know which direction they will go this offseason. Will they be a team that is doubling down and remaining expensive? Will there be major changes to the roster?

Orlando sets out this season to figure out which direction they will go and hope they can prove they are on the right path on the court this year.

Most around the league do not expect them to be successful.
