Rav Gershon Ribner

The Bais Medrash fills with Talmidei Chachamim and laymen when Rav Gershon Ribner Shlita, son-in-law of Rav Shneur Kotler, is scheduled to give a Shiur or Vaad at Bais Medrash Govoha, Lakewood. Years of tutelage by Rav Yitzchok Hutner and learning in Yeshivas Brisk, have combined to prepare Rav Gershon for the position of Primary Instructor of Talmud at Bais Medrash Govoha. He has succeeded in applying classical talmudical analysis methodology to understanding all areas of our religion, bringing out its profundity and sense. Rav Gershon's unique style comprises brilliant and novel ideas, presented in a clear and relevant manner, primarily based on the great works of the founders and leaders of the Yeshiva Movement and way of life, such as Rav Chaim Volozhiner, as expounded upon by the Bais Halevi and his illustrious descendants. These shiurim reveal new meaning and depth in their teachings. A common sentiment expressed by attendees of Rav Gershon's Shiurim "Even one insight has the ability to change an outlook and elevate ones life." TORAH 101 - With Rabbi Yaakov Wolbe
TORAH 101 - With Rabbi Yaakov Wolbe
TORAH 101 is aptly described as “An Intellectual’s Introduction to Torah”. If you are a person who wants to understand the foundations of Torah in a logical and cogent fashion, if you don’t want to subsist with the juvenile perception of Torah of your youth, if you want to wrestle with the deeper questions of theology, eschatology, theodicy, and Jewish philosophy, TORAH 101 is the podcast for you. We will delve into the weighty topics in Jewish philosophy: the divinity of Torah: the interrelationship of Written and Oral Torah, the multidimensionality of Torah, a critical examination of Bible criticism, Torah and Science, why bad things happen to good people, and we will thoroughly explore Maimonides’ Thirteen Principles of Jewish Faith. The Mitzvah Podcast - With Rabbi Yaakov Wolbe
The Mitzvah Podcast - With Rabbi Yaakov Wolbe
The Torah contains 613 Mitzvos, Commandments. Many of the Mitzvos are quite familiar to us, such as loving our fellow as ourselves and eating matzah on Passover, but many are more obscure and unfamiliar. The Mitzvah Podcast is a project to offer a snapshot of each mitzvah, in the order in which they appear in the Torah. Each episode will be dedicated to a single Mitzvah or a bunch of Mitzvos if they are closely related and offer an overview of said Mitzvah, together with anecdotes and vignettes and interesting questions that arise in the Talmud and other books of Jewish Literature.
